Writer’s block is an often-experienced problem in a bloggers journey that almost every blogger has to face (at least) ONCE in the journey.
Writer’s block simply means, being blocked from writing. It will make you feel sick and too lazy when you come to start writing a blog post. Also the online distractions will rule your mind and prevent you from writing anything.
So you will simply be blocked from blogging :/. I know that’s too horrible, but you will face it once.
I was also feeling in the recent one-two weeks. But I started researching it and I can finally see I’m writing articles without any ‘BLOCKS’.
Before we talk about how to get rid of writer’s block let me explain the reason why that REALLY horrible thing happens.
Reasons for Writer’s Block
- Lack of time.
- Lack of knowledge
- Over-work
…and sometimes it also may be “You need a break”. We will talk about all the reasons and solutions very briefly.
Get Entertained
When you feel like you’re getting writer’s block, get your headphones geared up and enjoy music (if you like). I love to listen to music. Before starting to write anything, I take the medicine of music. It entertains me. Everyone doesn’t have the same hobby, but maybe you get entertained by playing games. If so, then do that.

May be some of you get entertained by banging your head on the wall-you are allowed to do that too. ๐
Enjoy your personal Life – Get a BREAK
Money is not the aim of life, but happiness is. May be you are doing overtime in work and now your mind is trying too hard. Now it’s not enabling you to write. You SERIOUSLY need a break. Take a break.
Enjoy some time with your family and friends. Go for picnics. Hang out with friends. Bunk schools and enjoy your life. While doing this, just don’t think about writing or your profession.
Just enjoy everything.ย After this when the evening comes, there will be a soft smile on your face. Now get to your computer, open up your writer and start writing. I know you will write like a pro and also enjoy what you will write. This has been my experience.

While you are on break, hire people to write some articles and then schedule them so there’s no possibility of getting a traffic drop on your blog. Just a little bit of investment is all that’s needed here.
You can take break for an hour, a day, a week, or maybe even a month. It is great to take a ย week’s break. You’ll love it, I’d bet.
Go for a walk
Pick up your shoes and a coke can. Go for a walk with a pen and a notepad.
Go for a walk in the evening for about an hour. Clean your mind. Enjoy the walk. Discover the things around you. Keep walking. When you get tired, sit down and drink the can. Now go to your home.
You will get a feel to write more and you will forget your writer’s block. You will write like you never did before.
So here is the last and the most effective tip:
Avoid Distractions
When you are writing online, you’ll face lots of distractions. Most of them will be emails and social network notifications like XYZ liked your post, you have 5000 new tweets or XYZ is inviting you for a hangout.

Now your mind will try to avoid the work and go with them. You will open Facebook and forget what you were doing. This is the biggest cause of writer’s block. There is a Google Chrome extension for avoiding distractions called StayFoucsd. Go and install it.
Set a block for websites that are taking up most of your time.
What do YOU say?
I always love to hear from you all.
Tell me what do you think about writer’s block and PLEASE inform me if you have any valuable tips too. I will wait for you to comment and tell me about any sure-fire ways to get rid of writer’s block,ย if you know of any. ๐
