So I decided to post a best social bookmarking sites list that bloggers can use to get free traffic.

Social bookmarking sites are great source of traffic to me and can be a great traffic source for you too. You can get traffic within seconds after you post your link on these sites.
Many bloggers tell that, such traffic is just a waste. I don’t agree with them.
You should make your blog ready for new visitors, add opt-ins in your site and try to reduce the bounce rate of your blog via using interlinking. So you can convert that traffic into quality traffic too (which I do).

I know that this is a very limited list but I’m sure it will help you.
But the sites listed here are really giving me very nice traffic and also you could generate lots of traffic if you use them correctly.
If your post gets featured on top on sites like reddit, or digg, then be ready to handle about 100k-900k visits straight to your blog and lots of increase in fans, followers and subscribers.

I've had really great success using Reddit for promoting my blog posts. Especially if you find a good subreddit (reddit.com/r/…) that's relevant to your topic. A few other really good bookmarking sites I'd recommend: Kippt, Snip.it, (and of course my own) Annotary.

Great list of bookmarking sites. I have only tried reddit and it has given me tons of traffic in a day. Going to try the other sites out.

The websites mentioned on this list is the best in terms of bookmarking. There are many bookmarking websites, but if you miss digg, reddit, delicious then you are missing a big thing in terms of seo.

Good set of social book marking sites. Is Digg still working?
Reddit is my favorite. That social bookmarking site is really active. It is almost crawled by search engines every 15 mins. I am not sure about this but it feels like it… Thank you for the information you provided… It really helped me…

I have always found Stumbleupon to be pretty good for sending direct traffic. However, it really depends on the niche or topic. Sometimes you can get 0 views and other pages can get 100+ in record time.
Choosing the correct tags help too.
